BEST ROMANTIC ANIMES OF ALL TIME

ACCORDING TO ME THESE ARE THE BEST TOP 10 ROMANTIC(LOVE STORY) ANIME YOU SHOULD WATCH...

THANK ME LATER😉

1. MY HAPPY MARRIAGE

So far, My Happy Marriage is quite comfortably Summer 2023's best romance anime. Based on Akumi Agitogi's novel series, the story takes place during an alternative version of the Meiji Restoration era that incorporates supernatural elements. While coming from a reasonably well-off family, Miyo has lived a hellish life under the thumbs of her awful stepmother, stepsister, and biological father. Looking to get rid of her for good, her family package Miyo as a potential wife for an infamous military figure known for pushing women away within days, and a rejection would spell the end for the protagonist. However, Kiyoka not only takes a liking to Miyo but becomes fascinated (and enraged) by her family's treatment.

My Happy Marriage does not shy away from showing the long-lasting effect of Miyo's abuse at the hands of her family. Robbed of her sense of self-worth, the protagonist needs time to recover, even within the safety of Kiyoka's presence. In the latter's case, he is a fascinating figure who has some ulterior motives for his initial interest in Miyo, although his feelings for her seem genuine.

2. MY FIRST GIRLFRIEND IS A GAL

My First Girlfriend Is a Gal (Japanese: はじめてのギャル, Hepburn: Hajimete no Gyaru, lit. "My First Gal"), also known as Hajimete no Gal, is a Japanese manga series by Meguru Ueno. It has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Ace since November 2015, and has been collected in sixteen tankōbon volumes. A ten-episode anime television series adaptation produced by NAZ aired from July to September 2017.

High school boy Junichi Hashiba laments not having a girlfriend as his classmates have seemed to be pairing up everywhere. His single unattached friends force him into boldly confessing his love to Yukana Yame, a beautiful "gal" at the school. Although Yukana easily determines that Junichi really just wants to lose his virginity, she agrees to be his girlfriend. Junichi soon attracts the affections of other girls who have known Junichi or Yukana for a while, including his childhood friend and neighbor Nene Fujinoki, Yukana's gal friend Ranko Honjō, and the school's madonna Yui Kashī.

3. VERMEIL IN GOLD

Vermeil in Gold - A Magician Pushes Through the Magical World With the Strongest Disaster (Kinsou no Vermeil ~Gakeppuchi Majutshi wa Saikyou no Yakusai to Mahou Sekai wo Tsukisusumu~) is a manga written by Kouta Amana and illustrated by Youko Umezu that began serialization in August 2018 in Monthly Shonen Gangan. English releases are available on the Manga Up app but only on certain phone brands.

At a Wizarding School called the Ortigia Royal Academy of Magic, Alto Goldfield must summon a Familiar or else be held back a grade (as Familiars are necessary for much of the work going forward). Having failed to summon even one, he finds an old grimoire and tries the summoning spell inside. He ends up summoning a powerful, seductive devil named Vermeil who agrees to become his Familiar. She decides to pretend to be human to not scare anybody, as she can conceal her horns and tail, but this causes them to come under scrutiny as humans have never been summoned as familiars before. The two must get through the school year amid several people picking fights and Alto's jealous childhood friend, Lilia Kudelfelt, while Alto seeks his dream of becoming a Platinum rank mage. Bigger, darker plots also soon are revealed to be taking place.

An anime adaptation began airing on July 5, 2022 and adapted the first 17 chapters of the manga.

4. THE REASON WHY RAELIANA ENDED UP AT THE DUKE'S MANSION

Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion is a korean webtoon with art by Whale and original story by Milcha. It follows the struggles of a young woman who’s been reborn into the world of a novel as an unfortunate side-character fated to die. Using her wits and knowledge of the original novel, she’s determined to carve out a better destiny for herself.

I’ve genuinely thrilled to see more webtoons getting physical releases in North America. Now I can appreciate the lovely, full color at to the fullest!

5. THE DUKE OF DEATH AND HIS MAID

Who does not enjoy some lighthearted teasing? The Duke of Death and His Maid has a peculiar hook: Viktor is cursed to kill anyone he touches, which does not lend itself to a healthy love life. The duke has an obvious crush on his maid, Alice, who also seems to reciprocate his feelings. Unfortunately, his circumstances forbid them from taking the next step, so they have to make do with banter.

The Duke of Death and His Maid is cut from the same cloth as Teasing Master Takagi-san and Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, although it is arguably more wholesome than both of those shows (which is saying something).

6. MY DRESS-UP DARLING

Wakana Gojou and Marin Kitagawa live in totally different worlds. Totally isolated and reserved, Gojou has no friends and keeps himself separated from everyone else out of fear that he would be mocked for his interest in hina dolls. Conversely, Kitagawa is popular, outgoing, and confident.

While these two would usually never meet, Kitagawa is interested in cosplay and learns that Gojou might be the perfect person to make outfits for her. Wholesome, funny, and brilliantly animated, My Dress-Up Darlingis a relatively conventional romance anime that does the genre's tropes extremely well.

7. TOMO-CHAN IS A GIRL!

Based on a popular and completed manga by Fumita Yanagida, Tomo-chan Is a Girl! was one of Winter 2023's funniest rom-coms. Tomo and Jun are very close friends, so much so that the latter can only see the former as a buddy. As Tomo is very much interested in taking their relationship to the next level, Jun's inability to see her as a potential romantic partner is an issue.

Although romance drives its characters, Tomo-chan is a Girl! is primarily a comedy. The likable Tomo and Jun bounce off each other well, and they are complemented by hilarious characters like Misuzu and Carol.

8. THE ANGEL NEXT DOOR SPOILS ME ROTTEN

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten makes a great first impression thanks to a few factors. For one, Project No.9's animation is clean and detailed, particularly the character models. Secondly and more importantly, the main characters have instant chemistry; the moment Amane extends his umbrella to a soaked Mahiru, sparks fly.

Even though most of the series has the leads together on screen, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten does an admirable job of exploring them as individuals while simultaneously strengthening their friendship.

9. KIMI NI TODOKE: FROM ME TO YOU

Opposites attract is so overused a gimmick that it has become a cliche, but there is no denying that the concept can produce gold when executed intelligently in a romantic comedy. Kimi ni Todoke is about the sweet friendship between the painfully shy Sawako Kuronuma and the popular Shouta Kazehaya. Mocked for looking like Sadako from The Ring, Sawako is an isolated figure at school, and it takes a lot for the girl to come out of her shell. Luckily, Kazehaya is the perfect person for the job.

Kimi ni Todoke is funny, heartwarming, and packed with well-written characters that grow as the story develops. Like many romance anime, Kimi ni Todoke does delay the confusion scene a bit too long, but the journey is still an engrossing one.

10. THE ANCIENT MAGUS’ BRIDE

"The Ancient Magus' Bride" is a popular anime series based on a manga written and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki. The anime adaptation was produced by Wit Studio and premiered in October 2017. It falls under the genres of fantasy, supernatural, and romance. The series consists of 24 episodes in its main season, along with several OVA episodes.

Plot Summary:

The story follows Chise Hatori, a young Japanese girl who has had a difficult life. She possesses a unique ability to see and interact with supernatural creatures, which has led to her being isolated and unwanted by her family and peers. Feeling hopeless and without purpose, she decides to sell herself at an auction.

Elias Ainsworth, a mysterious and ancient magus with a skull-like head, purchases Chise. Despite the eerie appearance, Elias is a powerful mage who practices various forms of magic and alchemy. He reveals to Chise that she is a "Sleigh Beggy," a rare and powerful type of mage who can generate tremendous amounts of magical energy. Elias takes Chise under his wing as his apprentice and future bride, hoping to both teach her about magic and provide her with a sense of belonging.

As Chise navigates her new life in the magical world, she encounters various magical beings and creatures, both friendly and malevolent. She learns about the hidden aspects of the supernatural realm and begins to understand her own potential as a mage. Throughout the series, Chise and Elias' relationship develops from one of master and student to something deeper, evolving into a unique and complex romance.

The anime explores themes of identity, belonging, acceptance, and the interconnectedness of the human and magical worlds. It delves into Chise's personal growth as she overcomes her past traumas, gains confidence in her abilities, and finds a place where she truly belongs.

Once again, thank you for being a part of my journey and for connecting with my work. I look forward to more interactions and discussions in the future.😊
